Application

Stearic acid ( Cetylacetic or n-octadecanoic acid) is widely used:

-for octadecyl alcohol and octadecylamine; -the cosmetics industry: sodium stearate is a major component of soap, stearic acid itself is a part of many cosmetics -the polishing of metals -in the pharmaceutical industry -in the manufacture of candles, -as a plasticizer in the manufacture of rubber, etc.

Stearates, sodium, calcium, lead is used as components of lubricating greases.

Stearic acid esters applied as components of the adhesive pastes, antioxidants, emulsion to treat textiles and leather, monomers for plastics, stabilizers and other food products.
