Application
Maleic anhydride is used:
- in the manufacture of unsaturated polyester resins, synthetic fibers and films, in the purification of aromatics and sulfur-nitrogen compounds,
- in the manufacture of pharmaceutical preparations
- in the manufacture of detergents,
- in the manufacture of plasticizers, stabilizers, and additives for fuels.
- in the food industry, prepared from maleic anhydride, fumaric and malic acid
- in the production of some chemicals for agriculture, such as plant growth regulators (hydrazine maleic acid), etc.
